I began 2015 by seeing nine bands live and enjoying some musical events via the interwebs. Fly Free Fest kicked off their monthly concert series, Fly Free Presents with Seven Handle Circus. Bonnaroo decided to do BLAM earlier and differently this year. BLAM has been different every year, so I look forward to seeing how they change it up next year. We celebrated the BLAM holiday with our festy family. Christine came over, and we video chatted with Kayla and Daniel. Oh and nearly every other Summer Music Festival announced their lineups in January. If you lost track of them all visit Roam Free Collective’s Festival Season Kickoff Mega-Post.
I’ve already listened to Jack White’s Madison Square Garden concert about half a dozen times. If you haven’t, do yourself a favor and go listen to it right now. The Jack White LIVE channel will be up until the 3rd on Pandora. Christine and I intended on having a Listening/Summer Planning party during the concert, but she was quarantine on the Isle of Man (just kidding, she was on her couch). We still managed to devise a way to blend in with the Third Man entourage. If all goes to plan, we will be living as Jack White band aids starting Record Store Day.
ANYWAY listed below are the events I attended last month and my tentative schedule for this month. I’ll practically be living at Track 29 the first week of February. So when you see me screaming Shovels & Rope lyrics or grooving to the Um, say “hey girl hey!” and I’ll give you stickers.
