My 2015 Year in Review

While we are all looking forward to what the year 2016 will bring, I wanted to take some time to look back and reflect on 2015.  So much music.  Some good and some bad.  But for this article’s sake, we will only focus on what I feel is the Top 10 Best of 2015. These are some of my personal favorite selections from all across the musical horizon.  A few new artists/bands will grace my top lists, but mostly some great established acts that I have admired for some time.  I will broadly cover five sub-categorized genres: Hip-Hop, Metal, Rock, Pop/R&B, Folk & Country, and Electronic.  Also, I want to note that I did not place these artists/bands in any particular order of importance.  It goes against my principles to try and rank one artist/band’s album over another based on some preferred formula.  Like Ricky Bobby once said, “If you ain’t first you’re last.”  Why should I make nine albums last?

  1. Although, I am mostly versed in your folk/country genre, I’m right there with you on most the other lists. Thanks for sharing Brotha! Your insight is always appreciated!
