Recently, this concerthopper was treated to Boris, a Japanese avant-garde metal band, performing their 10th album Pink in its entirety at what would be my last time attending a show at the original location for The Masquerade. When Boris released Pink (2005), it was one of my personal favorite albums at the time. Pink was also named by both Blender and Spin as one of the best albums of 2006. Needless to say, Boris has been on my bucket list for some time now.
In support for this tour they brought the band, Earth, to warm us up with their blend of psychedelic/drone/instrumental rock. Boris will continue their crushing North American tour until August 26th when they play the Regent Theater in Los Angeles. Check out the remaining tour dates online to see if they come near your area. You can view the entire Boris with Earth album and many more on our Facebook page today. We hope you enjoy these selected pics from my last night at the old Masquerade below.
