Music Midtown is an annual music festival in Atlanta, Georgia that has been bringing A-list artist from a wide variety of genres to Piedmont Park for over two decades. Music Midtown had its inaugural year in 1994 and ran annually up until 2005 when they took a six year hiatus due to rising cost of expenses associated with production after attempting to expand to a three day festival. After the hiatus, the festival returned in 2011 as a one day event to test the waters and see if the die hard fans were still around waiting to party. Once ticket sales soared for the one day event, the festival returned as an annually event in a two day format. From there, the rest was history and Music Midtown has become a staple of the thriving music scene in the Atlanta area.
