The Medicine Tour: Sleeping With Sirens, Set It Off, Belmont and Point North
A sold out crowd wound their way up the staircase at The Masquerade in Atlanta as they anxiously anticipated the doors opening, granting them access to the venue. Inside awaited an amazing concert experience consisting of performances from Sleeping With Sirens, Set It Off, Belmont and Point North. The anticipation swelled as the time approached for the first band to take the stage.
Point North was first to take the stage, bringing their own brand of rock, merging genres like hip hop and pop punk to build the energy in the room to a fever pitch. Hailing from Los Angeles, the band recently released a new song featuring Kellin Quinn of Sleeping with Sirens titled Into the Dark which is a song about lost love and draws on catchy bass and drum tracks and Post Malone-eque hip hop flows.
Belmont, was next up, bringing their own blend and style of music to a very diverse lineup. Drawing comparisons to bands like Blink 182 and A Day to Remember, the Chicago based group brought a ton of energy to the stage, enticing the crowd to crowd surf early in their performance and setting the tone for the rest of the evening.
Tampa, Florida natives Set It Off were set to bring the hype to a fever pitch before Sleeping With Sirens took the stage and they did not disappoint. Fronted by blue-haired frontman Cody Carson, who was the main driving force behind the band’s signing thanks to his YouTube channel which gained the band early viral traction. The incredibly talented singer was paired with the Zach Dewall on guitar and Max Danziger on drums for a high-powered performance.
From the start, Sleeping With Sirens took to the stage with an aire of celebration surrounding their performance. This was not only due to their recently released critical success album How It Feels To Be Lost; it was also guitarist Jack Fowler’s birthday. Snaking their way through their discography going back a decade, the band brought passion and enthusiasm to the stage. This energy was not confined only to vocalist Kellin Quinn as bassist Justin Hills as well as both guitarists, Jack Fowler and Nick Martin joined in on the pageantry.
