After a Delay, Welcome to Rockville Prepares to Bring the Heat to Daytona Beach
Welcome to Rockville has set themselves up for another great festival this year ahead of their first year in their new setting at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach Florida. They’ve announced their full lineup and it includes some titans of rock and metal including Metallica for two nights, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Lamb of God and Lynrd Skynyrd to name a few. Rockville couples four days of great music with some awesome vendor choices and some other attractions to keep the fans entertained the full spread of all four days, November 11th-14th.
We at ConcertHopper have been fortunate enough to be on hand for performances by several of the bands attending this year. Combine this with some fascinating bands that have gained traction during the pandemic like Spiritbox and Code Orange and we’re extremely excited to observe the tour de force that is this festival.
For Thursday, Architects promises to be an amazing point during the day filled with other awesome acts. We last got to see Architects live during their Holy Hell tour. Since then the band released their ninth studio album For Those That Wish To Exist in February to rave critical review. The new melodic tone of this album combined with the crushing library at their disposal promises to be a spectacle to behold for the massive crowd sure to be in attendance.
For Friday, we’ve been very lucky to have covered Beartooth in headlining shows and at previous iterations of Rockville and Epicenter. The band is getting set for the launch of their fourth studio album Below which is set to drop on June 25th. We know that they are masters of stage presence, putting on a show that everyone should be excited for.
For Saturday, those in attendance who have never seen a Fever 333 show are in for a treat. Known for their antics while performing like climbing stage scaffolding and jumping from Port-A-Potties, Fever 333 leaves nothing off the table when they perform and they pour everything into their performance. All of this is set to their music, containing powerful messages about the climate of the world we live in.
Sunday is going to be an insane day with legends like Mastodon and Metallica taking the stage as well as the return of Mudvayne. We’ve been fortunate to see Sleeping with Sirens on a headlining tour and in a festival setting before and they bring their unique flavor to the show, great tunes will be set to energetic an energetic stage performance and they enjoy playing to the crowd. It’s going to be a great set to sit in on and observe.
The complete list of food and experiences isn’t available yet but the ones we’ve been shown look awesome along with some returning favorites. Caduceus Wine Garden returns with their assortment of amazing wines to choose from, it also doesn’t hurt that they are owned by Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan. One of the experiences we find most awesome though is the Fxck Cancer tent who also facilitates the Dyin 2 Live Dreams Program which will allow some suffering with cancer to experience a VIP concert experience that the organization hopes to help them forget what they’re dealing with, even if it’s only for a day.
Tickets are already going fast for this festival but if you’d like to pick up your own full, 4-day or single day passed, head on over to the festival passes page.
