Nth America Tour: Wolfmother Live at The Eastern!
Wolfmother is an Australian blues rock/hard rock/stoner rock/neo-psychedelia band that formed in 2004. Founding members of Wolfmother consisted of Andrew Stockdale (vocals/guitar), Chris Ross (bass/keyboards), and Myles Heskett (drums). For this tour, Wolfmother consists of Andrew Stockdale (vocals/guitar), Nathan Wagner (drums), and Nick Vogelpohl (bass). They have released six (6) LPs with Rock Out (2021) being the latest release. Wolfmother has many notable and crowd-favorite songs within their discography including “Woman”, “Joker & the Thief”, and “Dimension” to name a few.
On May 9th, 2023, Wolfmother announced on their social media channels that after a long break from touring North America, they were coming back for the Nth America Tour starting September 14h in San Diego, CA. at The Observatory North Park. And concluding on November 29th in Chicago, IL. At Thalia Hall. Lucky for Atlanta, Wolfmother and Fever Dog added The Eastern on November 19th to their tour dates. And I was fortunate enough to be there and show you some of the excitement that transpired.
Fever Dog is a psychedelic rock band from Coachella Valley, California that formed in 2012. After starting as a garage-rock band back in 2007 as 6th graders, they performed under the name, Snot Rocket. They then changed their name as a nod to Cameron Crowe’s hit motion picture Almost Famous. Fever Dog took their name from a song from the fictional band in the movie named Stillwater. Fever Dog consists of Danny Graham (vocals/guitar), Quanah Lienau (guitar/vocals), Jaxson Fischer (bass/sound generators), and Joshua Adams (drums/organs/backing vocals). Fever Dog has released three (3) LPs, three (3) singles, and one (1) split with Alpha Waves (2020) being the latest release.
Starting the evening’s festivities, Fever Dog came out to a crowd ready to rock out to some groovy rock’n’roll tunes. Well, Fever Dog delivered just that to the eager crowd. Fever Dog blazed through a scorching set chop full of wicked tracks from their discography like “We Want Action”, “On the Loose”, and “The Demon” for example. Those are a few of my favorite songs from Fever Dog’s rowdy performance this evening at The Eastern. Fever Dog’s pure rock’n’roll energy and vibrant performance won this Concerthopper over. Fever Dog operates under the credo: “Action!” and that is exactly what they do on stage. Fever Dog gives the fans an experience in rock’n’roll that will stay with the audience forever. Long live Fever Dog!

Next up to close out the evening at The Eastern was none other than Wolfmother. The enthusiastic crowd at The Eastern let Wolfmother know how excited they were to see them walk on stage. Starting with one of my favorite tracks, “Dimension”, Wolfmother delivered a career spanning seventeen (17) songs set with an encore that consisted of an unforgettable cover of Led Zepplin’s “Rock and Roll”. It was great to see Andrew, Paul, and Jesper smiling and having fun while performing for the grateful crowd at The Eastern.
