K-Rockathon Reboot Live at the NYS Fairgrounds Chevy Court Stage
The 2024 K-Rockathon is returning after a 6-year hiatus to "reboot" the festival. The K-Rockathon is an annual music festival held in the Central New York region since 1996. The first lineup included Butthole Surfers, The Verve Pipe, Poe, Seven Mary Three, Reverend Horton Heat, Howlin' Maggie, Toadies, and Guster. The festival has been hosted in three different counties and has entertained hundreds of thousands of attendees. This year marks the 23rd show in total.
This year, Krockathon is making a comeback with a special twist. All the bands set to perform are alumni, bringing back a wave of nostalgia and excitement. The lineup includes renowned acts such as Puddle of Mudd, Hoobastank, Stabbing Westward, Nonpoint, Boy Hits Car, and Brand New Sin. It's a fantastic opportunity for fans to relive the magic of past performances and for new audiences to experience the energy and talent of these iconic bands.
Of all the bands on the lineup, I am excited to see Puddle of Mudd and Hoobastank. Growing up, my parents listened to this type of music. I remember seeing Hoobastank’s music video for "The Reason" and enjoying the song. As a child, I was always curious about why they were called Hoobastank. I'm eagerly anticipating the performance of Nonpoint as part of this lineup. The last time I had the pleasure of seeing them live was during the Kings & Queens tour when they shared the stage with Butcher Babies.
