Mixtape Monday: Voodoo Music and Arts Experience

Halloween weekend I’ll be worshiping the music with my festy besties, Roam Free Collective, Festival Snob, and Concert Hopper contributor, Christine at Voodoo Music and Arts Experience in New Orleans. Christine and I haven’t had our planning party, so our schedule isn’t mapped out yet. I know I’ll be carving out some time to catch some acts I’ve missed at previous festivals, such as Action Bronson, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Benjamin Booker, and Gogol Bordello. You already know we’ll be losing our voices during Outkast, Arctic Monkeys and FOO FIGHTERS(!).

It will be our first time in NOLA, and the night will be young when the music stops. We need suggestions on where to explore, eat, drink and hear some local music. I would also like to do something voodoo-y like get my fortune told. Please contact me if you’ve visited NOLA recently and tell me where to go and what to do.
