Yes, I know what day it is. It kept getting further and further from the first and I started to consider not writing a Rewind this month but writing these monthly recaps was my new year's resolution. I've kept it up for 8 months! I hope you enjoy reading them and more than anything my hope is that it has inspired you to document your own concert hopping. Speaking of documenting your own concert hopping, we're always looking for contributors. (wink, wink)

Without further ado...

On July 2nd, My new beau, Ryan and I went our first concert together, the Flashlight Show featuring TORRES with opening act Mad Libre. Go make friends with our friends at Flashlight Shows, if you haven't already. They put on fun shows that shine the light on talented artists and worthy causes. Their next event is Thursday, August 27th, 7:00pm at Granfalloon featuring Christopher Paul Stelling benefiting the critters at the Humane Educational Society.

July 18th and 19th photographer, Ricardo Chang and I represented Concert Hopper at Sloss Music and Arts Festival. Listed below are all the acts I saw. I wasn't able to catch every performance, but Ricardo sprinted from stage to stage in the Alabama heat to give you guys beautiful images of nearly every performance. Be sure to view his Day One and Day Two albums before you wander off to another part of the interwebs.

On July 24th my friend Kim, Ryan and I went to The Camp House to see The Delta Saints and Behold The Brave. Afterwards, we went to the bar where everyone knows your name, IMAGES and enjoyed a drag show.

The next day I was off to Atlanta to see Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson at Aaron's Amphitheatre with Nikki, Noah, and Holly "Squirrel".

July was a fun month and I'm glad I was able to squeeze more music with friends in than I anticipated. Much like last the beginning of this month has been quiet, but I'll be making up for it.
