The inaugural Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival will soon be held at The Park at Harlinsdale in Franklin, Tennessee, September 26th and 27th. The lineup features Wilco, Willie Nelson, Weezer, Steven Tyler, The Decemberist, Sheryl Crow, and many more. If you have been looking for a festival to try out with the littlest concert hoppers in your life, this is the one. Gates will open each day at 10:00am with the first acts taking the stage at 10:30 and the festivities will wrap up before bedtime at 7:30pm. The festival will include 4 stages, one of which Hohner's Little Pilgrim's Stage will host performances from young artists, as well as activities and workshops geared towards families. I might have to sneak over there to check out the Musical Petting Zoo at 12:20. Hopefully a goat won't eat my wristband.

I am most excited for the “Pilgri-mashups” that will pair artists together for one-time collaborations on stage. Some of the artists I haven't had a chance to see yet, that I need to make time for while there, are Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Punch Brothers, Iron & Wine, Neko Case, and Big Sam's Funky Nation.

In addition to the musical experiences and the family fun, there will be delicious eats and drinks at the Kitchen and Sippin’ stages, and food and merchant vendors will be featured in the Bazaar. So come hungry.

Christine and I will be there to dance, sing, pet critters, eat yummy food, and frolic around Franklin with you.
