Cut Copy: Haiku From Zero Tour (Variety Playhouse)
Cut Copy is a synth-pop/indie electronica/new wave band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia that started off as a solo project for a DJ and graphic designer, Dan Whitford (vocals, keyboards, and guitar). The band presently consists of Tim Hoey (guitars), Ben Browning (bass), and Mitchell Scott (drums). Cut Copy has released a total of four (4) studio LPs, an EP, and a number of singles and mixes. Fresh off the release of their latest LP, Haiku from Zero, Cut Copy played the lovely Variety Playhouse (Atlanta) in front of a large crowd of fans eagerly awaiting their return. I personally recommend listening to In Ghost Colours and Free Your Mind to start off your Cut Copy experience for those interested. Check out their official Soundcloud page to listen to some of their music today.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Cut Copy and their management for giving Concerthopper and myself this incredible opportunity to come be a part of this night. If you want to check out Cut Copy when they are back stateside then you can go to their official tour calendar to see if they come close to you town next year. I know that you will be able to see them at both weekends of Electric Forest or the McDowell Mountain Music Festival as far as the 2018 festival circuit is concerned. Many more will be announced, so stay tuned to their website or their official Facebook page for more dates in the coming months.
