Kings & Queens Tour with Butcher Babies & Nonpoint- 5/22/2018
An American metal band formed in Los Angeles, California. The band formed in 2010 calling themselves the Butcher Babies. The band is lead by Front women Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey, guitarist Henry Flury (Amen), bassist Jason Klein, and drummer Chase Brickenden. In 2011 they released their first self-titled EP "Butcher Babies." They gained a lot of attention after covering "Fucking Hostile" by Pantera. In the same year, they also released their first music video for "Mr. Slowdeath" which was produced by Mudrock. Butcher Babies' music has been described as heavy metal, groove metal, and thrash metal. The band has cited artists and bands such as Pantera, Guns N' Roses, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, and Slipknot as their influences. In 2012 a producer Josh Wilbur (Gojira, Lamb of God, Hatebreed) recorded their debut album called Goliath. The band has also released other albums "Take it like a man" (2015) and "Lilith" (2017). Butcher Babies played crowd favorites "Monster Ball", "Lilith", "The Butcher", and "Burn The Straw Man." The band is currently on tour with Nonpoint, Islander, and Sumo Cyco.
The Kings of this tour, Nonpoint, The band currently consists of vocalist Elias Soriano, drummer Robb Rivera, rhythm guitarist Rasheed Thomas, bassist Adam Woloszyn, and lead guitarist B.C. Kochmit. The band has been together since 1997, they have released 8 albums. They are set to release a new album this year. During the show they played fan favorites "My Last Dying Breath", "Bullet with a Name", "F**K'D", "Endure" and many more!
Next up on the list is Islander, The band has been together since 2006, frequently changing the lineup. They currently have released two EP's and two studio albums. They got signed to victory records in 2013. The band came onto the stage ready to rage. They played "Lucky Rabbit", "Mayday", "My friends" & "We scream". The lead singer of Islander Mikey Carvajal was very interactive with the crowd as well. He kept getting on the barricades to scream with the fans making it more personal.
Sumo Cyco was the first on the list to open up the show to get the crowd ready for Nonpoint and Butcher Babies. Sumo Cyco also has a woman as the lead singer Skye "Sever" Sweetnam. The band launched in March 2011, releasing two albums, sixteen singles, and seventeen official music videos since they started. When they came onto the stage they played popular songs such as "Undefeated", "FreeYourself" "Anti-Anthem" and "The Ugly." When Skye stepped on the stage she was ready to party. Multiple times during their set Skye jumped off the stage to join the crowd. She was able to get everyone in the crowd to squad down to the floor and jump with her all at the same time to get the fans more involved with their set. Matt "MD13" Drake climbed on the barricade trying to balance as he was shredding on the guitar at the same time Skye climbed onto someone's shoulders to be carried around the venue to further increase crowd involvement.
