Big Game Weekend Brings Massive Line Up of Events to Atlanta

Big Game Weekend 2019 is set to turn Atlanta, Georgia into an absolute mad-house. Not only is the Big Game bringing in sports fans from all over the nation to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but music fans across the city can be heard rejoicing as the game is bringing some of the hottest names in hip-hop and EDM to Georgia for the weekend. As if traffic wasn’t bad enough in Atlanta, am I right? Besides the fact the city will be an absolute nightmare to drive through for a full three days, the events and opportunities to get out and enjoy Big Game Weekend are endless. Here are the Top 5 Events hitting Atlanta, Georgia in celebration of Big Game Weekend - we hope to see you at Shaq’s Fun House!

1. Foo Fighters with Run the Jewels at Atlantic Station - Atlantic Station in Atlanta, Georgia will be constructing a massive temporary venue for the Foo Fighters and Run The Jewels to team up for a Big Game Weekend celebration. The venue is set to have a capacity of 6,000 and all tickets sold will be floor level, standing room only. This is a 21+ event and all tickets are currently sold out. This will be the first time the Foo Fighters have been back to Atlanta since they rocked the redesigned Turner Field. If you are able to find a ticket for sale, face-value price retails at $250 - don’t let the hype around the event cause you to pay over face!

2. Shaq’s Fun House at LIVE! at The Battery - Shaq is bringing his Fun House to Atlanta, Georgia for Big Game Weekend and media is buzzing about this event. Shaq’s Fun House will be meshing together the vibes of a circus, a carnival, and a music festival - the ultimate event culmination! Shaq will be performing under his stage name DJ Diesel, with a B2B with Diplo. Performances will also include Migos, Lil Jon, 21 Savage, T-Pain, DJ Irie, and Tiesto. A surprise appearance from Steve Aoki has also been teased! Shaq hosted his first Fun House in Miami in 2018 with a stacked line-up and several surprise guests, so expectations for this event are pretty high. Tickets are currently available for $399, and will soon move up to $499. Tickets include access to this all-inclusive event as well as open bar and free food. 3. Diplo at District - Seeing that Diplo will already be in-town for Shaq’s Fun House, it should not come as surprising to see he has his own headlining gig booked. Diplo will be performing at District in Atlanta, Georgia on February 1st. Other performances by Morten and DJ EU are also on the books for this six hour event, which gives each artists about an hour and a half to two hours for their sets. Tickets are currently available on Eventbrite starting at $109 for GA and $169 for VIP. Prices for GA will soon move up to $139 plus fees so grab your tickets to Diplo at District if you are unable to catch him at Shaq’s Fun House!

4. Kaskade at Ravine - Kaskade will be keeping the EDM vibes rolling throughout the weekend with his performance at Ravine on Sunday, February 3rd. This is a 21+ event and tickets are available on Eventbrite for $125 plus fees and tax. Doors will open up at 11:00pm and the party won’t stop until 3:00am. With Kaskade making an appearance in Atlanta for Big Game Weekend, it makes attendees of other music festival style events over the weekend wonder if he could possibly be making a guest appearance with Tiesto or Diplo.

5. Big Game Weekend Concert Series at Centennial Park - There is a week long concert series presented by Verizon Wireless taking place at Centennial Park in celebration of Big Game Weekend making its way to Atlanta. The series kicked off on January 26 and will run through Saturday, February 2. The concert series is set to have a mix of vibes that vary from day to day. January 26 kicked the series off with a focus on Hip Hop while the second-to-last day, February 1, will have a focus on Pop and EDM. There will be food and beverage vendors onsite, with a single main stage area that will average five performances per day. The week-long event will also have various attractions onsite, such as a Best Buy Tech Zone and a Ford Tough VR experience.
