It may feel like this year just started, but 2019 is creeping up around the corner faster than you may expect. For some, New Year’s Eve brings bottles of bubbly and family to the living room to gather around the television and watch the countdown. For others, New Year’s Eve means gathering all your best bass buds and festival family to embark on yet another concert adventure. Here is our Top 5 events from New Year’s Eve 2018. Remember to Uber or Lyft if you are planning to get down this New Year’s. We hope you have had a wonderful 2018 and we hope to see you at a concert in 2019!
The Flaming Lips in The Caverns - The Flaming Lips are taking a deep dive into the underground to host their New Year’s Eve extravaganza in The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee. Catch the Flaming Lips with special guests UNI as they bring their magical performance underground. The Flaming Lips are known for their over-the-top performances, so to see them blow out a New Year’s event will be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Tickets to The Flaming Lips in The Caverns are still available for $125 GA or $256 for VIP. General Admission tickets include access to the show and a champagne toast at midnight. VIP Tickets include everything that GA gets plus early admission, access to VIP viewing, a commemorative poster and t-shirt, two drink vouchers, and a hat from the venue. If you’re wanting to ring in the New Year the right way, taking the step-up to the VIP tickets is always the best bet.

2. Umphrey’s McGee New Year’s Eve Run - Umphrey’s McGee will be hosting a four-night New Year’s Eve run at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia. Umphrey’s McGee New Year’s Eve run line-up features Southern Avenue, Doom Flamingo, TAUK, Corey Wong, and a special performance by TAUK-ing McGee. Each night features a different opening artist. The Umphrey’s McGee New Year’s Eve run begins on December 28th at 8:00pm and will continue until attendees ring in the New Year with funky tunes from Umphrey’s. Tickets for Umphrey’s are still available for a few nights and prices for GA are sitting around $40. If you are lucky you may be able to snag a ticket to the New Year’s Eve performance on December 31st and boogie into the New Year with all of Atlanta, Georgia !

3. Papadosio New Years Eve - Papadosio will be hosting a New Year’s Eve event in Nashville, Tennessee. They will be welcoming all who wish to get down and get funky to ring in the New Year. Papdadosio will be in Nashville startin December 30th for a special Acoustic Evening with Papadosio at City Winery. This special event has, without surprise, already sold out. Papadosio will then be making their way over to Marathon Music Works for December 31st with The Russ Liquid Test to boogie into the New Year with some groovy tunes. Tickets for their New Year’s Eve event are still on sale for $30 for GA, but prices will be rising as the date approaches. Tickets for this event are getting scarce, so if you are interested in this event get them while you still can!

4. Decadence Colorado New Years Eve - Decadence New Year’s Eve in Denver, Colorado is always the number one place to be for bassheads across the country. Decadence Colorado 2018 Lineup features Alison Wonderland, Bassnectar, Griz, Marshmello , and What So Not. This year’s lineup is overflowing with talented artists in EDM and it is very surprising that tickets are still available for this event. General Admission passes for the 2-Day event are currently sitting at $153, while VIP Tickets are about $400. VIP Tickets include everything that GA tickets include, plus commemorative VIP swag, private bars, a private lounge and express entry into the event. Decadence Colorado is hands down the number one place to be for bassheads to ring in the New Year.

5. Bassnectar 360 - Bassnectar will be hosting his annual New Year’s spectacle and bassheads around the nation are rejoicing that he is bringing the 360 set up back. Bassnectar 360 will be featuring G-Jones B2B Eprom, Manic Focus, and Anna Morgan. Bassnectar will be bringing this omni-directional experience to the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, South Carolina. Unfortunately for some, tickets to this event are beyond sold out, but some lucky souls may be able to snag a re-sale ticket on ticketmaster.
