New Festival Alert! High Water Festival 4/22-4/23
My Facebook has been buzzing for weeks now regarding the new festival on the block...Shovels and Rope, a Charleston native band, is teaming up with AC Entertainment to bring a new festival experience to South Carolina this April! High Water Festival may be new in town, but they are bringing some great perks with them! This two day festival will run April 22nd and 23rd, 2017. The beautiful Riverfront Park will be hosting this festival. There will be two main stages and over 20 musical acts. I have looked through photos of the park and I cannot wait to listen to the music with such a scenic river backdrop!
The lineup features some stellar artists including Shovels & Rope; Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats; The Shins; Dawes; Jump, Little Children; Deertick; Slow Runner; and Lucius. One of my favorite bands will be headlining, The Avett Brothers! I’m really excited to see Nathaniel Rateliff again too; they were a lot of fun at Bonnaroo! I’m still currently exploring artists on the lineup but I’ve liked everything I’ve heard so far!
Along with this good lineup comes good eats! While High Water has not released any official menus, they promise exclusive, Charleston chef-curated dining experiences celebrating southern flavors. They are also going to have local craft beers and other drinks, also soon to be announced.
Tickets went on sale Friday, November 18th and from their website it looks like VIP has already sold out! GA tickets are still available but the first two tiers are sold out. Even at level 3 these tickets are reasonably priced. I would buy one soon though, because this festival is going to sell out! You can buy your ticket here: http://www.highwaterfest.com/#tickets. High Water isn't a camping fest, so book your hotel through the festival- they have partnered with Hotels for Hope so portions from each night booked will go to a good cause!
