On the night of October 29,2020, strange happenings began to arise across Instagram. The accounts for The Longshot and The Coverups, two projects that Billie Joe Armstrong works on, were hacked. The accounts temporarily uploaded a gif of the logo for The Church of Lushotology. It seems that Wihelm Fink from The Network attempted to reach beyond the interstellar crossroads and communicate with the present-day society through hacking into Billie Joe Armstrong’s phone and attempting to take over his social media accounts.

Curators were able to bring together the Red Bull Freestyle Motorcross team, infamous craft food vendors, The Paranormal Cirque, a car show and some of the biggest names in rock n’ roll music. Curators at Exit 111 Festival made sure to span across the many generations of rock n’ roll instead of putting a focus on the latest and greatest like most music festivals.
